Hon. Fatyana highlighted the accomplishments of the joint cooperation with ESCAP to develop evidence-based policy and planning for sustainable use of energy resources at national and regional levels within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goal 7 (SDG7) on clean energy. Pakistan’s current RE stands at 4% of energy mix, Hon. Fatyana highlighted the urgent need to reduce high-carbon energy systems and build RE sector.
