The third annual Roundtable, part of Round-Table series initiated by Hon. Dr. Shashi Tharoor, MP, Board member AQA, was inaugurated by Minister for Environment, Forestry and Climate Change and Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Hon. Prakash Javadekar. It reviewed the National Clean Air Plan, with senior parliamentarians including Hon. Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, Hon. Gurjeet Singh Aujla, MP and Hon. Gaurav Gogoi, MP, discussed initial results along with pragmatic measures for strengthening clean air initiatives. Topics presented by experts included cost of India’s transition to Renewable Energy, Energy subsidies/impacts on public and private-sector energy choices, measures to strengthen the National Clean Air Plan.
